Lynne Clayton
Lynne is from Benton Harbor, Michigan and has traveled throughout the United States, Mexico, and Italy. Formerly a licensed General Contractor with a decorative painting company, she fell in love with Montessori when her now fifteen year old daughter was an infant at Brookview School. She taught six - fourteen year olds Integrated Art prior to becoming a trained Montessori guide for the Upper Elementary classroom. She began teaching in the 9-12 yr. old classroom in August 2002. Her hobbies include making jewelry at her studio in Benton Harbor, reading, art quilting, building, and gardening.
Paul Epstein, Ph.D.
Paul has worked in Montessori education as an administrator, classroom teacher, researcher, university professor, speaker and author. His hobbies include reading, hiking and listening to music.
Christina Martin
Christina is an independent accounting software consultant and director of accounting/human resources for Cast Coatings, Inc. Christina daughter Paige, has attended Brookview since infancy. Christina's volunteer activites at Brookview include the annual auction campaign and the annual fund. Her hobbies include photography, reading, traveling and just delighting in every little thing her daughter does...especially walking! In her free tim, she enjoys remembering what it was like to have free time. Christina looks forward to all of her daughter's amazing years through middle school at Brookview.
Michel Rose, Esq.
Michel works as Senior Trademark Counsel for Whirlpool Corporation. She has been an active Brookview parent for five years and a board member for 4 years. Michel served as President of the Board for three years. In her free time she enjoys traveling, boating and photography.
Tamara Samuels
Tamara has two children, Benjamin and Katherine, who attend Brookview. She is a financial and computer software account manager, and enjoys gardening, swimming, yoga and reading in her free time. Tamara is involved with various committees at Brookview School including: Fundraising, marketing, volunteer Chikaming Township Planning Commission and Master Planning.
Lauren Strach, Ph.D.
Lauren is a college professor at Andrews University. She is the Associate Professor of Marketing. She has been an active Brookview parent for 11 years; serving on the board for 8 years, 4 years as president. Lauren’s volunteer work at Brookview includes capital campaigns, marketing, and literature circle (Upper Elementary). In her free time she creates award-winning art quilts, enjoys gardening and traveling.
Martha Swift
Martha is a Family Medicine physician by training who came to Brookview with her son, Michael, in 2004. Martha gave up her medical practice when she moved to Shanghai, China, with her husband, Dave. After relocating to Michigan due to Dave's employment with The Whirlpool Corporation, Martha became involved with Brookview in a number of capacities. She serves on the Board of Directors as secretary, and keeps the school’s finances in order as Financial Director. Martha occasionally teaches language in the Elementary and Middle School Programs. When not at Brookview, she enjoys knitting and other needlework crafts, reading and tennis.
John Yerington
John is the President of Michiana Aggrogate, Inc. He graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Economics. John is the father of two children who attend Brookview School. His hobbies include traveling and photography.
