Committee Charters

The following is a list of committees established by the Board of Directors with a short description of each committee's purpose.  Click on the Committee name to download the Committee Charter to learn more about the composition, duties and responsibilities of each.

Audit Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of: (1) Brookview's overall systems of internal control and risk mitigation; (2) the integrity of Brookview's financial statements; (3) compliance by Brookview with legal and regulatory requirements and ethical standards; and (4) the independence and performance of Brookview's accounting firm.

Bylaws and Governance Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of Brookview's governing documents and the overall governance effectiveness and efficiency of its operations.

Compensation Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of Brookview's compensation and benefit programs.

Curriculum Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for the development, maintenance and improvement of a curriculum that provides for the children of the area, a learning environment based on the Montessori philosophy using the Montessori methods and materials.

Development, Grants and Fundraising Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of Brookview's revenue-generating plans by reviewing, discussing, evaluating and helping to implement proposed financial development, grants and fundraising strategies.

Executive Committee may exercise all of the powers of the Board of Directors in the management of the business and affairs of Brookview in the interim between meetings of the Board, with some exceptions which are described in the charter.

Facilities Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of Brookview's buildings, grounds and other facilities.

Finance and Budget Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for oversight of Brookview's fiscal management.

Long Range Planning Committee shall assist and advise the Board of Directors in developing and implementing a Long Range Plan that provides guidance to the Board for making decisions that impact the future of Brookview, including capital improvements, future growth and expansion.

Marketing Committee shall assist and advise the Board in the development of concepts, plans, strategies, programs and activities that support, facilitate and otherwise guide the marketing and public relations efforts of Brookview with the goal of retaining students currently enrolled in Brookview and the recruitment of new students.

Nominations Committee shall assist and advise the Board regarding its responsibility for nominating officers and directors.
