Brookview's Exchange Program

Upper Elementary students have the opportunity to participate in an international student exchange with a Montessori school in Mexico. 

This experience involves matching each student with a child of his or her age from our sister school, Colegio Chiaravalle.  Brookview students travel to León, Guanajuato, Mexico where they live with a host family for two weeks. 

While in Mexico, the Brookview Student attends school at Colegio Chiaravalle.  The host student then returns to Michigan and lives with the Brookview family for two weeks, attending Brookview School. 

The total experience, therefore, is a one-month immersion in which the two students live together, go to school together, speak each others' language, and experience the culture of each others' country.
