Opportunities for Giving

For many families, Brookview School may be their first experience with a private school. Private, non-profit schools rely on support from parents, family members, friends and alumni to help meet fundraising goals that are used to support enrichment programs and provide financial aid for students.

Brookview School is an independent, non-profit organization. Unlike public schools, we do not receive funding from the state or federal government. Unlike parochial schools, we are not supported by any church or religious organization. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Brookview education. We rely on grants and donations as well.

The education Brookview offers is of the highest quality, in large part because of our extremely talented, dedicated, and experienced faculty. Eighty percent of our operating budget goes directly to personnel expenses: to pay the salaries of the people caring for and educating the children. The school board and staff work very hard to keep costs down and we do not waste money.

Gifts of time, expertise and talent are equally valuable.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact your child's teacher to see if there are opportunities in the classroom or Brookview's volunteer coordinator to learn about opportunities to help the school overall.

Let's Support Each Other!  The directory will include businesses owned and operated by Brookview families (staff, teachers and parents) who make a $50 donation to Brookview School.  The directory will also list businesses that demonstrate a commitment to Montessori education by making a minimum $100 donation to Brookview School's 2010-2011 Annual Fund Campaign.

School Wish List

The school often could benefit from the donation of items.  Click here for a current list of items needed.  Also, ask your child's teacher if there are any items needed in your child's classroom.

Special Projects/Sponsorships

Periodically a parent or friend of Brookview will sponsor a project or capital purchase for the benefit of the school.  Examples of these gifts of generosity are:  a new maple coat and book bag area for the Upper Elementary students, 5 new computers or a sponsorship of an additional foreign language instructor.  If you are interested in contributing in this way, please contact the Head of School for ideas and/or coordination of the gift.
