What I enjoy most about teaching at Brookview:

The best reward in working with these self-directed and enthusiastic children is when they - in perfect Montessori fashion - flip the traditional flow of teaching on its head and engage me as a peer or a colleague in their own learning exploration. Words such as, "Ms. Laurie, did you know...?" or "Ms. Laurie, you have to see what we made!" are music to my ears.

My family, ethnic food, books, travel, episodes of "I Love Lucy," collecting bells, cats that are aloof, gathering information, Montessori conferences, walkable cities, and especially Brookview.

What I enjoy most about teaching at Brookview:

Being at Brookview gives me an opportunity to share and experience the values of different cultures.  I am blessed to have a wonderful class and colleagues to work with. I have two kids Ainesh  & Animesh and my husband Praful works at Whirlpool.  We love living in St Joseph and both my kids attend Brookview. I enjoy every moment of my job and the satisfaction that I get from teaching the children is colossal. It feels wonderful to be a part of Brookview community.

Interests:

As a Vice Captain, I played Field Hockey for School, College and State of Maharashtra - India.  I love to cook, take care of my family, participate in outdoor activities.  I really enjoy mathematics.
