Attention Classroom Teachers

Monday, November 9, 2020
Recently, the State of Michigan made funds available through a Teacher COVID-19 Grant Funding Program, to recognize those Classroom Teachers that spent additional time working outside of the normal classroom hours during the mandated closure in April and May of the 2019-2020 school year. Due to Brookview Montessori School's status as a "nonprofit nonpublic school," regulations stipulate that our Lead Teachers who work with children ages Kindergarten and above, are eligible for this grant. As of today, November 9th, a list of eligible recipients have been identified and notified by Brookview.
Regulations also require us to notify the whole staff that if you have not received notification, and feel you might have been left off the eligible list mistakenly, you have the right to contact Brookview in writing to appeal no later than December 4, 2020.
