2015-2016 40th Anniversary Funding Campaign
Dear Brookview Community and Friends,
This is a very special year for Brookview School. Founded in 1975, Brookview began with 23 children in the basement of the old Lake Michigan Catholic School on Pearl St. in Benton Harbor. We settled in a former Moose Lodge on 10 acres of wetlands (1986), expanded by 7000 square feet (2000), and through our vibrant history, evolved into a thriving institution, unique to our region and solid in our mission of educating the global citizens of tomorrow. This year, we celebrate our 40th year of providing Learning Beyond the Ordinary for thousands of extraordinary young people!
The work must go on. Our goal for the 2015 40th Anniversary Fund Drive is to raise $40,000 with 100% participation of our families. The donation period runs from October 20, 2015 to January 20, 2016. Education is one of the most valuable gifts we can provide our children and is central to their future health and happiness. By making a donation to Brookview School, you are helping ensure that your children and future students continue to experience the benefits of academic excellence and whole-child education.
The success of our annual fund drive is critical to the financial health of our school. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Brookview education. We rely on grants and donations as well. As an independent, non-profit organization, we do not receive funding from the state or federal government like public schools, and are not supported by any church or religious organization like parochial schools.
Where does the money go?
The education your child is receiving is of the highest quality, in large part because of Brookview’s extremely talented, dedicated, and experienced faculty. The majority of our operating budget goes to pay the salaries of the people who care for and educate your children. Parts of this building, however, are 40 years old. This year, our beautiful facility needs roof repairs, a new water filtration system, and bathroom renovation. We work very hard to keep our costs down, and we don’t waste money, but your donation is needed to supplement the enormous costs.
Brookview School is a 501(c)3 non-profit school. Your donation is 100% tax deductible. The same is true for businesses, extended family and friends. The dates of the 40th Anniversary campaign provide opportunities for a tax deductible donation in either 2015 or 2016.
You may pay:
- By check or cash
- Through your FACTS account in monthly payments
- Through PayPal on Brookview’s Website
Together we can build a stronger Brookview. Thank you in advance for your participation!
