Sports for Life
Physical Education for elementary students at Brookview School emphasizes "Sports for Life." We offer a survey of sports, with a new activity being
introduced every six to eight weeks. Our physical education program includes both individual and team sports and highlights the importance of each student doing his or her personal best.
Students are exposed to various forms of physical activity with an emphasis on sports that can be practiced throughout a person's lifetime, such as tennis, swimming, golf, and dance.
Our goal is to promote physical activity as a way of life, and we want children to develop the habit of being physically active early in life.

The experience of taking the students out into the community for P.E. on a regular basis also provides an opportunity for the children to practice grace and courtesy skills.
In the spring, our units on team sports (kickball and soccer) take advantage of our own large campus and focus on the development of cooperation and teamwork in addition to traditional skill-building.
